The VNM Software Decoder application lets users view live PURE3™ streams from VN-Matrix 200™ encoders as well as PURE3 recorded streams in active playback on the network. The Software Decoder consists of a plugin that works with Windows Media Player as well as a software application that connects to a VN-Matrix 200 Enterprise Controller. The application finds the available encoders and active recorder channels and populates buttons, making them available for selection with a simple button press. Connections to PURE3 streams can also be initiated from the embedded VN-Matrix Web browser interface or by typing in the URL for the Encoder or Recorder stream into Windows Media Player.
VNM Software Decoder can be installed on as many machines that may need to access PURE3 streams as desired, and a system license manages the number of connections that can be made simultaneously. The VNM Software Decoder is ideal for use in monitoring, remote presentation viewing, collaboration, data visualization, or any application where a low-cost, convenient alternative to hardware-based PURE3 decoding is desired. The software decoder is intended for use on LANs or managed private networks that support use of multicast traffic.
