MR D Series Modular Mud Rings for Decora®-Style Products and Faceplates The Extron MR D Series Modular Mud Rings for Decora Faceplates uses three innovative components to create standard one- through three-gang size mounting brackets/mud rings. These brackets are used to mount Extron Decora-style products and to allow Decora faceplates to fit flush against the surface wherever they are needed. Made of durable, high-impact polycarbonate, these mud rings install without the need to mount to a stud or electrical gang box. Self-tapping screws and backing clips or locking arms secure the brackets to the drywall, particleboard or other soft-walled material for maximum placement flexibility. The modular system ensures integrators always have the correct size on hand. For convenience, the MR D Series mud rings ship with extension kits for in-field expansion to the next largest size. The brackets are available preassembled in standard one- through three-gang sizes in black high impact polycarbonate.
