- Enables complete control over the digital switching effects of up to three SGS 408 Seamless Graphic Switchers
- Allows for simultaneous cuts, wipes, and dissolves — These effects can be timed and synchronized on multiple screens or move sequentially across up to three screens, such as a left-to-right wipe that starts on the first screen and ends on the third.
- Offers 40 multi-screen transition presets - 30 factory & 10 programmable — Effect buttons call up multi-screen effects. Provided are 30 factory preprogrammed presets and 10 user-programmable presets. Each button is labeled with a pictorial example of its effect. All buttons may be overwritten with Extron's Windows®-based software. New button labels can be made by any Brother P-Touch™ labeler or by Extron label software, which ships with every Extron matrix switcher.

- Screen buttons to select which screens the effect will take place on
- Adjustable transition effect duration — Front panel LCD displays duration of effect. Each effect provides a user-adjustable duration ranging up to five seconds.
- T-bar transition controller for manual control of single and multi-screen events — The user selects an effect and uses the Extron special manual controller to control the speed of the transition.
- Windows®-based software allows for the creation of effects combinations — These combinations can be stored as a preset sequence - preprogrammed presets can be overwritten.
- May be used with the RCP 1000 to connect to three SGS 408 switchers via three 9-pin D connectors
